How to Fix Uneven Flagstone Patios.

If you have a flagstone patio that is uneven or has small stress cracks in the cement/grout, it might mean that you have a water or moisture issue. We normally see this when someone has installed a flagstone patio without taking the proper procedures to protect the patio from the elements.

Prior to installing your flagstone patio you must dig and set the stones at a minimum depth of 6 inches. Without prepping the ground correctly, you could be set up for failure.

This is why using a licensed patio contractor for proper patio installation is so crucial. Flagstones and other patio stones are costly, and improper installation of your patio by yourself or unlicensed contractors can end up costing more in the long run. How to Clean a Patio
Cleaning your patio is essential to both visual appeal and longevity. Patios take a beating from the elements and over time will develop dirt, mold, mildew, and other blemishes. Patio cleaning can be a daunting task, but with the right tools and cleaners, it does not have to be.

First, you will want to gather your materials. You will need:
- A garden hose with a high-pressure nozzle
- A scrub brush
- A push broom or leaf blower
- A patio cleaner (You can find these at most hardware stores or online)
Once you have gathered your materials, you are ready to begin cleaning your patio.

We recommend using a push-broom or even a leaf blower to remove excess debris prior to hosing down your patio.

Start by spraying down the entire patio with water from your hose. This will help to loosen any dirt or debris that wasn’t removed by the broom or blower.

†hen, using your patio cleaner and scrub brush, begin cleaning the surface of the patio. Be sure to pay extra attention to any areas that seem especially dirty or stained.

After you have scrubbed the entire patio, go over it one more time with the hose to remove any leftover cleaner or debris.
